EMS40E-10kN (KMM40E-10kN) – Industrial force sensor with built-in amplifier (10 kN / ~1 ton)
Miniature stainless steel strain gauge transducer for precise measurement of compressive and tensile forces with integrated conditioning electronics 0.5...4.5 V.
The EMS40E-10kN (KMM40E-10kN) model is a high-class, compact strain gauge sensor with a built-in measurement amplifier. It allows direct connection to standard analog inputs of PLC controllers, DAQ modules and industrial measurement cards without the need to use external signal transducers. The structure made entirely of stainless steel guarantees high mechanical resistance and measurement stability in difficult industrial conditions.
Key benefits and design features
Integrated signal amplifier (EMS165): The built-in electronics converts the microsignal from the strain gauge bridge into a normalized voltage signal 0.5 V… 4.5 Vwhich eliminates transmission interference and reduces installation costs.
Bi-directional force measurement (Compression and Tension): Factory zero point offset to 2.5 Vallows precise measurement of both directions of force (2.5 V = 0 N; range 0.5–2.5 V for tension/compression, 2.5–4.5 V for the opposite direction).
Low voltage 5 V DC power supply (USB compatible): Enables integration with battery systems, portable data loggers and direct power supply from the USB connector of measurement computers.
Hermetic and resistant construction: The stainless steel body ensures high mechanical stiffness, corrosion resistance and long-term repeatability of measurements.
Low non-linearity error: Maximum non-linearity as low as ≤ 0.5% F.S. for the full range of 10 kN.
Typical industrial applications
Assembly presses and crimping machines: Monitoring and control of the force of pressing and pressing elements in quality control processes (Quality Assurance).
Robotics and end effectors: Precise control of clamping force in industrial robot arms, manipulators and grippers.
Test and R&D stations: Measurements of fatigue and static strength of automotive, aerospace and mechatronic components.
Mobile measurement systems: Laboratory and field measurements powered directly from the USB bus of a computer or data acquisition module.
Tension and load control: Monitoring the tension of ropes, conveyors and supporting structures.
