The cut-off clutch plastic SPD with axle clamping is cheap clutched with an electrically insulating glass-fiber reinforced plastic having a low moment of inertia. Despite their compact design, they enable excellent torque transfer while reducing axial and angular misalignment due to the inaccuracy of assembling the connected axes. Drives and pickups are fixed with special M3x6 or M4x6 Allen screws (SPD20 and SPD22), two for each o'clock. Working temperatures in the range of -35oC to + 85oC correspond to their main application - to connect the axis of optoelectronic transducers and other angle sensors with the drive axes, or the smallest stepper motors and DCs. The couplings are available in a diameter of 15mm, 16mm, 20mm, 22mm and allow connection of axes with diameters of 4, 5, 6, 6.35, 8 and 10 mm.
Couplings SPD15-6-6 neutralizing angle adjustment up to six degrees, axial up to 0.4 mm costs only PLN 26 net. The shortening stiffness of such a coupling is 12.7 Nm / rad, the length is 21.4 mm, and the weight is about 5 g.
