SMC104 is a controller designed to cooperate with a two-phase stepper motor with bipolar winding (8- or 4-wire) or unipolar 6-wire winding switched on as bipolar. It allows control of the current up to 3.8 A with the division of step 1/2 to 1/64. The controller has the possibility to choose the current in the range of 1.2 - 3.8 A.
It is also possible to switch on the reduction, which reduces the current consumption by the time the CLK clocking pulses come in with frequencies <1.5 Hz. Permission for engine operation is done by providing a + 5..24 V signal to the EN (ENABLE) input.
The direction of rotation is controlled by means of the DIR input. The maximum frequency of pulses fed to the CLK input is 40 kHz.
