AP 3.8.4

AP3.8.4 is a pass-through adapter between the computer and actuators (stepper motor controllers, edge sensors etc.) of CNC machines. The drive systems of the individual axes, spindle drive and other devices in the machine can use dangerous voltages from 30 to 400V. Accidental short-circuiting can damage your computer and other controls. In addition, the existing overvoltages on the control lines can also permanently damage the LPT port of the computer or cause machine malfunctions.

The use of AP.3.8.4 limits practically zero risk of a short circuit or quenching. Thanks to the total galvanic isolation, the AP3.8.4 input-output protects the parallel port of the computer against the possibility of its damage. In addition, it adjusts the levels of control voltages, and also creates output signals. The AP3.8.4 adapter allows you to connect three stepper motor drivers, external sensors (eg, limit switches, positioners, emergency stop button) to the computer. Built-in relays can be used to turn on the drive of the cutter, coolant pump, etc.

Characteristic:

  • Full galvanic isolation of 4 inputs and 8 outputs,
  • 6 outputs of a line transmitter type for controlling three CNC machine axes,
  • 2 relay outputs for switching eg spindles, pumps,
  • 4 inputs, eg for limit switches, positioners, emergency stop,
  • Adaptation of voltage levels between LPT and CNC machine controllers,
  • Forming output signals,
  • Power supply voltage from 20-28 V DC,
  • It works with the majority of CNC machining programs controlling the LPT port of a computer (eg Mach).

Technical data:

  • Profile dimensions: 104 * 85 * 50mm,
  • Power supply voltage: 22… 26 VDC,
  • Isolated inputs: 4,
  • Isolated outputs: 8,
  • Relay outputs 2,
  • Max. Relays: 2 A,
  • Power indicator: LED red,
  • Mechanical dimensions: 100 x 85 x 70 (without holder for DIN rail).
