TMC239 is a driver dedicated to motors with a large control current. It does not have the power level. This means that it has an open construction and can not directly control the operation of the motor, but the advantage is the possibility to construct any power stage. Signals generated by the system without a power stage are used to control an additional device whose task is to supply the motor with a suitable current. In this case, it is necessary to use additional transistors. For external MOSFETs it provides 4A power supply. When using transistors with a low charge, there is no need to use additional amplifiers. Just like the predecessor has a control of the current. It is very effective and resistant to ambient temperature conditions. The communication is provided by the SPI interface as well as the classic analog / digital control. Thanks to the use of the SO28 housing, the size of this driver does not exceed the size of the postage stamp. They also have a RoHS compliance certificate.
