The TMC211 single-chip controller is a bipolar stepping motor driver and motion controller with an integrated sequential device and LIN interface. The LIN standard is a kind of serial bus that is well used in the automotive industry. TMC211 is designed with thought about decentralized mechatronic functions. The programmable OTP memory (data storage - see TMC222) is used to store drive parameters and configuration settings.
TMC211 enables four-bit microchannel control and is capable of step and microstation control at 800mA peak current without the need for additional cooling devices. In order to ensure proper power supply, it has a built-in pumping system for the power transistor. After initializing autonomously, throughout its entire duration of operation, it supervises critical tasks based on information about the location and the speed of the object. Together with an inexpensive microcontroller, it is a complete traffic control system. TMC211 has a standard SO20 enclosure and is compliant with RoHS standards.
