STILL Polska and WObit - partnership for automation

Striving to create a comprehensive portfolio of AGV solutions for warehouses, STILL Polska establishes cooperation with the Polish company WObit. The mobile robots produced in Dęborzyce in Greater Poland will be used in automation projects for STILL customers.

A necessary element of the implementation of the strategy consisting of striving for comprehensive customer service in the "everything from one supplier" model is the systematic expansion of the portfolio. The STILL has been expanding its offer for years, both by increasing its know-how and production plants, by acquiring companies and partnerships with leading entities in their industries. In our country, in the category of autonomous, universal, mobile transport robots (the so-called turtles), the pioneers and the most important players include the company WObit, based in Dęborzyce near Pniewy. The vehicles of the WObit company from the award-winning and distinguished in competitions for innovative products of the MOBOT® series will be available to STILL Polska customers through STILL Sales Advisors.

- We are pleased with the formalization of a partnership between our company and STILL Polska in the field of the youngest, dynamically developing part of WObit's activity, which are industrial robots - says Przemysław Degórski, Development Director at WObit. - The use of the synergy between the products of both companies and the ability to reach new customers with the partner's sales representatives fits perfectly into one of the basic assumptions of WObit about following the path of dynamic development - he explains.

- The most important barriers to implementations in the field of warehouse automation are currently: the price of autonomous solutions, the possibility of their scaling and adaptation to changing conditions, and the issue of cooperation between machines and people. STILL's answer to these challenges is a modular automation concept, in which the level of technological advancement is adapted to specific needs while striving for maximum ease of use. In WObit mobile robots, you can see symptoms of similar thinking about automation - says Szymon Smal, director of the Advanced Applications department at STILL Polska. - In many applications, customer needs in the field of automation are met based on the solutions of the STILL iGo neo family. However, we saw the potential to further optimize internal transport processes with our new partner's compact mobile robots. To simplify the procedures leading to implementations using both manual and automatic STILL trolleys and WObit mobile robots, we have established formal cooperation. From the customer's perspective, the entire project will henceforth be implemented through a single supplier. I have a feeling that this solution is beneficial not only from the perspective of WObit and STILL Polska, but most of all from our clients - concludes Smal.
