RoMoCo'19 – czyli najnowsze osiągnięcia w dziedzinie kontroli ruchu robotów

The twelfth international conference Robot Motion and Control (RoMoCo '19), organized by the Institute of Automatic Control and Robotics at the Poznan University of Technology.

This prestigious event was supported by IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Polish Chapter IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, IEEE Polish Section, IEEE Control Systems Society and the Polish Society for Measurement, Automatic Control and Robotics (POLSPAR), Polish NMO of IFAC, and company WObit.

There were 75 participants from 19 countries from all over the world (Europe, Asia and both Americas) at RoMoCo'19. During the conference, five plenary papers and 42 presentations were delivered.

On the second day, a group of scientists from all over the world sent an inspirational lecture by Przemyslaw Degórski - director of development, production and sales at WObit, entitled How to be successful in robotic products development?

During the event WObit presented its participants with solutions in the field of industry mobile robotics, including a new mobile robot equipped with Mecanum wheels.

During the final banquet, the second day of the conference, prizes were awarded, funded by WObit, for the best presented researches before the age of 30 (Young Author Award). The awards distinguished by the conference committee to scientists, on behalf of the company WObit, were written by Elżbieta Ober - general director.

Among the topics discussed during this year's conference, a lot of space was devoted to methods of planning the trajectory of robot movement, avoiding collisions, using robots in industry, space, underwater, in medicine or in public service. There were also aspects related to neural networks, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
