TireScan system is a unique tool used for static and dynamic measurements of the pressure exerted by the tire tread, using a tactile pressure sensor. Special graphics software allows you to analyze the quantitative and qualitative behavior of the tire. TireScan displays colorful images with high resolution, showing the pattern of the tire impression in real time.
The system is very intuitive and, thanks to specific graphs and integrated image analysis, allows for quantitative and qualitative evaluation. For example, the system almost measures the contact area, the area of â??â??the fringe, the longitudinal and latitudinal width and the transverse pressure profile almost all the time. The system can then compare the results of one tire measurement with another or compare the results of the same tire at different load and inflation rates. This information supports designers and manufacturers in the analysis of various tire treads and construction of the treadmill, enabling quality control and assessment of vehicle suspensions.
The USB connection makes the system extremely portable. TireScan can be used with the same ease in the lab, in the factory or during field testing. Sensors can be placed on the road, on the floor in the garage, mounted on rolls of the machine or attached to the mobile platform of the test machine. Sensors can even be buried under the ground to test the pressure of the tire together with the ground.
