Thanks to the look of a rocker switch and the sensor technology of industrial joysticks, PW30 series combines the advantages of joysticks and rocker switches: it is characterized by a flat design and small space requirements and offers a proportional signal (no switching, no latching).
In addition to the different key shapes - optionally also with soft-touch coating - the user can choose between potentiometric or hall effect sensors and between spring return to the middle or end position.
In the case of the version with a potentiometer, at the customer's request, a center pass or other resistance values can be made (standard 10 kOhm). This version is particularly suitable for battery operation because the power consumption is particularly low. While the potentiometric version of the thumb joystick has a lifespan of 2 million movements, the Hall effect version even achieves a lifespan of 5 million movements. Its electronics also meet the requirements of the IP65 protection class and are therefore suitable for use in harsh environments. Megatron also supplies the Hall effect version as a variant with dual or crossed outputs or as a fully redundant version (separate power supply for 2 Hall effect sensors).
