The mobile robot for UV-C disinfection, ALVO® Ultra V-bot, was awarded in the MTP Gold Medal competition. This product is the result of cooperation between technological partners: ALVO®Medical, WObit, and Luxiona.

The results of one of the most prestigious and recognizable trade fair awards in our country, which is the MTP Gold Medal, are traditionally announced before the ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE trade fair begins. The distinction is awarded to products, services, and solutions that are characterized by the highest quality of materials used, innovative solutions, or are manufactured based on the latest technologies available on the market.

After the session of the Competition Jury chaired by prof. dr. hab. Eng. Jan Żurek - Vice-Rector for cooperation with the economy, head of the Technology Design Department, Institute of Mechanical Technology, Poznań University of Technology, the MTP Gold Medal at ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE 2021 was awarded to 12 products (11 at ITM and 1 at Modernlog). It is these products that will set trends in the industry!

The awarded ALVO® Ultra V-bot is a mobile UV-C disinfecting robot. It provides a high-quality decontamination process, making it easier to create and execute more accurate hygiene plans at different locations, not just in hospitals. The ALVO® Ultra V-bot uses UV-C light technology, which destroys the nucleic acid (DNA) of dangerous pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2. Decontamination is remotely controlled and the robot can work autonomously after programming.

Automation of decontamination using a mobile robot improves the safety of personnel who are not exposed to direct contact with UV-C radiation, as well as with pathogens or strong disinfectants because this process is carried out remotely.
