The WObit offer is available new confocalDT confocal controllers 2421 and 2422 designed for a variety of measuring tasks. This is an ideal solution especially in the glass industry, where high processing rates usually occur. Thanks to it, it is possible to perform multi-gauge measurements on flat surface of the glass, double-sided or multi-point measurements of the thickness of the packaging glass using only one controller. These systems can also be used when measuring the thickness of sheet metal, to ensure the quality in the production of mobile phones and in the production of electronics.

A special calculation function in the controller allows you to evaluate and average both channels, eg to determine the thickness of the material. The acquisition of the measurement is synchronous and can be carried out using the full measurement speed for both channels. confocalDT 2421 and 2422 controllers are a viable solution , in particular for multipoint measurements.

The principle of measurement:

The confocalDT confocal-chromatic measurement system consists of a controller with the source of the LED light and the sensor. The sensor is connected to the controller via a fiber optic cable over a distance of up to 50 m. The focal length distance is varied due to the aberration of the chromatic sensor optics. In the controller, a distance is assigned to each of the longwaves. The light reflected from the measuring surface is transferred to the optics of the receiver, where the spectral intensity of the scattered light is evaluated. This unique measurement method allows you to measure displacement and distance with the utmost precision. It is possible to measure both dispersive and mirrored surfaces. Using one sensor, you can perform one-sided measurement of the thickness of transparent materials or measure the space between many transparent layers with simultaneous measurement of distance.
