Constant-current motors in industrial machines

Constant-current motors are an inseparable element of a variety of machines and systems from every industry. They serve as drive for production lines, running pumps, blowers, etc.

WObit proposes the use of excellent quality brush and brushless motors of two German manufacturers: Dunkermotoren and Buehler Motor.

Dunkermotoren drives have power in the range from 2.5 W to 1100 W, rotational speed from 2650 to 12000 rpm and rated torque from 0.46 Ncm to 290 Ncm.

Brushless series give a lot of possibilities for precise drive control, thanks to an integrated controller with various possibilities (depending on the type).

Buehler Motor engines are mainly brush brushes with power ratings ranging from 1 W to 250 W and 40 W to 325 W for brushless motors. The available rated torque is 1 Ncm up to 7 Nm, and the rotational speed of the motors without gears is 2500 to 6900 rpm.

Many of the drives of this manufacturer are used in cars and building automation. In industry, they work in various machines, among which an interesting example of the use of equipment for the textile industry.

Buehler Motor engines were used, among others in the process of developing the material from the roll. In his case, the challenge is the equal positioning of the material on the table, where it is then trimmed, as the material is often not evenly stretched. Therefore, the application has an automatic adjustment system with a sensor mounted from one wheel of the roller. When the material excessively moves away from the sensor, a signal is sent to the DC motor controller - in this case, SID116 and the motor moves the roll to the correct position.

This driver allows you to control the current, speed, position and trajectory with a symmetrical, trapezoidal profile of speed. SID116 allows you to control the motor with a continuous current of up to 16 A and up to 30 V, as well as working in 4 quadrants (the motor can work as a drive or throttle depending on the current load and direction of rotation).

As the drive was used engine 1.13.055.413 powered from 12 VDC with a power of 56 W together with a two-stage PLE40 planetary gearbox with a 16: 1 ratio.

At a later stage, the material is cut to the right lengths, but the knife that accomplishes this task needs sharpening some time. This is done using a diamond blade, which is moved using a brushless motor from the series 1.25.037.xxx and SIB195 driver . The controller has digital inputs for work and directional change (DIR and ENABLE), while pr Ĺ?dkoĂ?Ĺ?Ä?Ĺ? is given by means of analog signal 0..10 V, fed to the analog input. In addition, the motor can be controlled by signals sent via the Modbus RTU RS485 bus.

Depending on the needs, Buehler Motor and Dunkermotoren engines can be adapted to customer requirements by mounting an encoder or brake, you can adjust the rotational speed by changing the winding, you can also modify the longitudinal shaft from both sides, or insert an additional seal to increase the protection level.
