RELIGA-PED

Small patients who require specialist cardiac surgery due to the deep heart failure are getting more and more young.
It poses new challenges related to saving their health and life.

Young people are unwell due to congenital or acquired defects, for example as a result of such unfortunate side-effects as untreatable sacs and flu. It happens that the only rescue is a heart transplant, but before that happens - the heart is drained by a mechanical device that pumps blood.
Currently, small patients are implanted with German heart prostheses in clinics.

Fundacja Rozwoju Kardiochirurgii im. prof. Zbigniew Religa works on the creation of the first Polish heart prosthesis for children, which will be an alternative to German solutions.

For this to happen, financial support is indispensable.

1% tax is a brick in the construction of a device that saves health and the life of children with heart disease.

We believe that with your help this device will soon be ready. If this happens, we will be the second country in the world to develop a pediatric heart prosthesis. This will translate into an increase in the treatment options and a reduction in its costs.

For small patients, this is a great opportunity.
