DC motors with gearbox
One of the most commonly used drives in the automatic doors are still DC motors , which is an inseparable element of various machines and systems from each industry. For many years they have been the most popular on the market, due to their high resistance to interference and difficult environmental conditions. These features balance the minus of wearing brushes, forcing periodic maintenance. In addition, they are an inexpensive and very functional solution. Wobit proposes the use of excellent quality brush engines of the German company Buehler Motor.
Buehler Motor engines are mainly brush drives in the range from 1 W to 250 W and 40 W to 360 W, in the case of brushless engines. The rated torque is 0.5 nc to 63 ncm, and the engine speed without gears is 3000 to 8400 rpm. Many of the drives of this manufacturer are used in cars and building automation, vehicles and industrial machines.
Bmotion drives
Recently, the selection of the drive has become even easier thanks to the BUEHLER MOTOR BMOTION MOTOR. In one place it is possible to choose a complete drive system consisting of a DC motor, gearbox, brake and encoder. Due to the diversity of the platform, the drive systems can be combined with existing elements, according to the customer's requirements. As a result, customer modifications can be largely replaced by configurations based on the available components of the Bmotion platform. Thanks to this, Buehler Motor offers excellent application support and constant times of samples, preliminary series and serial supplies.
As part of Bmotion platforms Power engines are available for the drive combination. solid, planetary gearboxes, screw transmission, brakes and encoders. Importantly, the standard drive can be equipped with a pulley, brake or cable bundles ended with appropriate connectors. These cables can be performed for railways (Radox), in radiation isolation , which shows high resistance to high temperatures, many chemical factors, UV radiation, ozone, moisture and difficult weather conditions. In the case of rail vehicles, instead of a standard encoder, we also offer enkoder bei50, which meets railway standards.
Drive control
To ensure the effective operation of the drive, it is necessary to implement appropriate control. Wobit proposes a few controllers of own production designed for control of DC brushes. The simplest and most effective solution is the use of a simple SDD187 controller, which allows you to control the current to 20 A. The system has protection against thermal and overload damage. Changing the engine spin speed is possible by means of a PWM signal, and the direction of spinning and engine braking management (short circuit to mass or for power) is carried out using digital inputs. A diagnostic output is also available, signaling the bridge overload. For applications in the railway industry, we offer a special execution of the SDD187-HV controller, which works with DC drives up to 120 VDC.
