OptoNCDT 1220 laser sensors are used for precise, high-resolution measurements. Thanks to their compact design and low weight, they are ideal for measurement tasks in industrial automation and for integration with machines and systems. The optoNCDT series laser sensors offer a variety of interface options including RS422, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET. The advanced IO-Link interface, now available, is new to Micro-Epsilon's optoNCDT 1220 series.

IO-Link is a fieldbus-independent interface and enables digital and bidirectional point-to-point communication. Users can easily integrate IO-Link devices with various fieldbus and automation systems. Data recorded by these devices can be easily transferred to the cloud or higher-level systems via an IO-Link master device. Companies benefit from low costs thanks to simple installation, low programming effort thanks to predefined function blocks and quick commissioning. In addition, comprehensive diagnostic information down to the sensor level ensures easy troubleshooting.

OptoNCDT 1220 sensors offer an exceptional ratio price-performance and high measurement accuracy with a measurement frequency of up to 2 kHz. They are ideal for measuring board contours, for example in sawmills, while minimizing waste thanks to precise measurements. Thanks to modern Active Surface Compensation technology, they quickly compensate for various reflections and provide a uniform distance signal. Their compact design and integrated controller make it easy to integrate into machines, even where space is limited.
