Megatron CLP13 series displacement sensors they are very accurate, durable and require very little installation space. These properties make linear potentiometers ideal displacement sensors for applications where space is limited.

Linear potentiometers from the CLP13 series are available for measuring lengths 13 mm, 25 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm. The heart of displacement sensors is a conductive plastic resistive element that offers almost infinite resolution. This makes linear potentiometers suitable for precise displacement measurements, e.g. in medical technology, automation, robotics or vehicle construction.

Megatron also offers linear potentiometersein the version with a return spring (CLPR13). This version always returns to its original position when external influence or movement is removed. The version with an additional probe tip enables reliable and repeatable measurement of displacement and position in appropriate applications. Both the CLP13 and CLPR13 use a single-side guided pin to mechanically sense linear motion. This design also makes the displacement transducer suitable for applications where space is limited.

Another advantage ofCLP13displacement sensors is their very long service life: the linear potentiometers are manufactured using molded conductive plastic technology and can therefore withstand up to 40 million axis movements (CLPR13: up to 20 million). The signal from the displacement sensors is available without delay after switching on/off because they do not require electronic signal conversion. The sensors are insensitive to EMC influences and temperature stable (operating temperature from -30 to +105 °C).

Megatron also adapts the displacement sensors to the requirements of the series: For example, it is possible to adapt the cables or connectors, as well as modify the stem in terms of thread, length and flatness. Probe tip adaptation and special axis lengths are also available on request.
