Very precise system for measuring the thickness of metal surfaces

Bardzo precyzyjny system do pomiaru grubości powierzchni metalowych

The thickness sensor is used to precisely measure the thickness of narrow strips and sheets of materials such as metal or plastic. The new thicknessSENSOR ILD1420LL model now allows for even more precise measurements on metal surfaces. This is due to their small, oval measurement spot, which compensates for textures and rough surfaces, enabling the sensors to provide a much higher level of accuracy.

The measurement system consists of two laser triangulation sensorsthat measure the object from both sides. The integrated evaluation unit calculates thickness values, which are output in analogue form (voltage and/or current) or digitally via Ethernet. Thanks to its compact design, the system can also be integrated in tight spaces. The ready-to-use configuration allows for quick and easy commissioning.

Another advantage is convenient operation via an intuitive web interface. Individual presets can be loaded for a given measurement task. Up to eight user-specific settings can be saved and exported in Settings Management. The system is cost-effective and can be used as a data source for documentation purposes as well as for in-line monitoring tasks. This allows for highly efficient automation of the production process.
