TheeddyNCDT 3020 is a compact and efficient inductive (eddy current) measurement system for fast and precise displacement, distance and position measurements in industrial applications. Flexible in terms of connectivity and easy to configure, it can be used for many measurement tasks in industry and mechanical engineering.
The sensor system is designed for series and OEM applications and provides precise and stable measurement results even in difficult conditions - at a maximum ambient temperature of 200°C. The rugged controller can be combined with a wide range of sensors and is factory-adapted for ferromagnetic or non-ferromagnetic materials.
Durable and precise – for industrial series applications at high temperatures.
Features:
- Ideal for use at high temperatures: regulator up to 105 °C / sensor up to 200 °C.
- Precise distance measurements with high resolution up to 40 nm.
- For fast measurements: measurement frequency 80 kSa/s to response frequency 5 kHz.
- Robust and compact design with IP67 protection class
- RS485 interface, scalable analog output (current) and switching output
- Connection to the field bus via an interface module
- Easy configuration using sensorTOOL software
- Compatible with many sensors with measurement ranges from 1 to 80 mm
The controller's operating temperature range reaches up to 105 °C
The rugged DT3020 controller can also be installed very close to the sensor in hot environments, such as welding applications, steel rolling, or die-casting systems. This shortens the cable length between the sensor and controller, minimizing temperature effects on the cable and increasing precision. The measurement signal remains stable and can be transmitted digitally or via current output over longer distances.
The best temperature compensation in the world
eddyNCDT 3020 compensates for temperature fluctuations near the controller in the range from +10 to +105 °C, which minimizes the impact on the measurement result. Temperatures on and around the sensor are compensated up to +180 °C. This ensures extremely high precision in the nanometer range and excellent signal stability.
Configurable and easy to integrate
EddyNCDT 3020 can be integrated both via digital and analog interfaces, as well as via popular industrial buses. Free sensorTOOL software is available for convenient configuration. This software can be used to scale the analog output, save individual limit values for condition monitoring, activate the averaging function to smooth the signal or perform 3-point linearization to optimize measurement accuracy, among other things.
Eddy current sensors – a solution for demanding environments
Eddy current sensors have a unique property: they are extremely durable and provide highly accurate measurements even in the most difficult conditions. Eddy current sensors are particularly useful in applications where high pressure, contamination, oil, high temperatures or magnetic fields are present.
