Toyota is starting the production of hybrid drive engines in a modern factory with automatic internal transport

In the modern Toyota factory in Jelcz-Laskowice, the production of the latest generation 2.0-liter gasoline engines has started. MOBOT mobile robots are used for internal transport.

Toyota rozpoczyna produkcję silników do napędów hybrydowych w nowoczesnej fabryce z automatycznym transportem wewnętrznym

The Toyota factory in Jelcz-Laskowice begins the production of the latest generation of 2.0 l gasoline engines, designed as part of the Toyota Tyota global platform (Toyota New Global Architecture).

A modern two -cylinder TNGA engine with a capacity of 2.0 L can work with an electric hybrid transmission in hybrid drives or constitute an independent unit in conventional drives. It will be mounted in the Hybrid Corolla Hatchback and TS Kombi drive, as well as in the conventional Toyota RAV4 drive.

From the production side, TNGA means designing automated production lines characterized by automatic transport of the processed detail in the process. And thus higher performance, modular design of the line enabling the production of various types of components or drives on one production line and better work ergonomics and less environmental nuisance.

As part of an investment of a total of PLN 770 million, 540 new machines and devices were installed for both TNGA engines, including numerically controlled machines, robots and self -propellers.

The demand for Toyota low -emission technology on the Old Continent is growing very quickly. Currently, every second Toyota car in Europe (52%) and every third in Poland (35%) is sold in a hybrid version. Following this located in Poland, projects are developing very quickly and in a short period the second and third production change is launched.

low -emission Toyota hybrid technology

Hybrid cars use two energy sources - gasoline and electric. During braking, the kinetic energy of the hybrid car is recovered and converted into electricity, thanks to which the vehicle uses less fuel. Toyota considers hybrid technology to be an important step on the road to full electromobility. This technology provides customers with the best ecological, and at the same time economical and convenient solution on the market, and cities a ready tool for fighting smog.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland (TMMP)

TMMP has two plants located in Lower Silesia. The factory in Wałbrzych produces electric gears for low-emission hybrid cars cooperating with a 1.8 l engine, 1-liter gasoline engines as well as manual and semi-automatic gearboxes. Its current annual production capabilities reach 175,000 electric gears for hybrid drives, 258,000 engines and 633 thousand gearboxes.

The plant in Jelcz-Laskowice produces 1.5 liters gasoline engines. After starting the production lines of new 2.0 l and 1.5 l engines designed in TNGA technology, the factory production capacity will be 309 thousand power units per year.

TMMP factories are supplied with Toyota cars and PSA and Lotus groups, run by European companies: in the Czech Republic, Great Britain, France, Turkey and Russia, and outside Europe: in South Africa and Japan.
