WObit celebrates World Occupational Health and Safety Day. Practical, specific and with everyday safety in mind
At WObit, occupational safety is not a slogan, but a real element of everyday organizational culture. On the occasion of World Occupational Health and Safety Day, the company carried out two practical activities that reminded us how important it is to react quickly, be aware of threats and know procedures in the workplace.
The first point of the celebration was a refresher training in pre-medical first aid, conducted with the participation of a Rescuer. The meeting was of a practical nature, and participants could refresh their knowledge on how to deal with emergency situations that may pose a threat to life or health. Great emphasis was also placed on the ability to use an AED defibrillator. This is knowledge that can prove invaluable when you least expect it.
The second part was awalk around the entire workplace with a firefighter from FENIKS Ochrona Anti-Pożarowa z Pniewy, specializing in fire-fighting services, fire extinguisher service and fire-fighting documentation. During the walk, our workplace was discussed in detail in terms of possible threats, desired reactions in a given situation and the method of evacuation. These types of activities allow you to look at your everyday surroundings from a new perspective and be even better prepared for situations requiring quick reaction.
It is worth emphasizing that safety is an area that does not end with one day in the calendar. On May 5, on World Hand Hygiene Day, we remind ourselves how important simple, everyday habits supporting health and prevention are. This is a good moment to combine reflection on occupational health and safety with concern for the basic principles of hygiene and safety in the workplace.
