High-performance micrometer with a larger measuring range

The new optoCONTROL 2700-10 micrometer offers maximum precision to ensure quality on the production line. It provides a digital resolution of 10 nm and linearity ≤ 0.5 µm. It is used to measure diameters, gaps, edges and segments in industrial manufacturing processes, where it provides extremely accurate results, even on transparent measurement objects. OptoCONTROL 2700 has real-time correction of the inclination of the measurement object, which means that precise alignment of the measurement object is not necessary. All configuration of the LED micrometer is done via the integrated web interface.

With optoCONTROL 2700-10, Micro -Epsilon expands its range of high-performance micrometers with a model providing a measuring range of 10 mm. It is ideal for precise diameter, gap, edge and segment measurements in industrial processes. The new LED micrometer operates with significantly improved linearity of just 0.5 µm and measures objects with a diameter of 50 µm and above with extreme precision.

The decisive advantage is the telecentric optical system, which significantly optimizes the measurement accuracy. The measurement object is evenly illuminated and real-time tilt correction ensures extremely accurate measurement results, even when the measurement object is angled or tilted. An orthogonal positioning of the measurement object is therefore not necessary.
Whether highly reflective objects such as rollers or transparent objects such as glass plates - these innovative micrometers offer the optimal solution wherever maximum precision and reliability are required.

The integrated contamination detection function offers not only precise measurements, but also a proactive solution for detecting contamination or foreign bodies on the measuring surface. This function helps to avoid measurement errors and raise the quality of results to the highest level.

Thanks to the integrated controller, no external control unit is required and the time required for wiring and installation is minimized.
All configuration of the LED micrometer is done via the integrated web interface. The network interface is available via Ethernet and allows quick and easy setting, e.g. averaging or measurement speed, and offers extensive parameterization options for each measurement task.

Six presets allow you to quickly and easily set up your measurement task. The web interface also offers a scalable black and white image for easy alignment. This enables optimal graphical positioning of the micrometer or measuring object.
