February 26 this year a meeting took place in the Pniewy City and Commune Office, during which a tripartite Cooperation Initiative was signed between Siemens Polska, the Pniewy Municipality and WObit. It opens new development opportunities for class students in the profession of mechatronics technician , as well as for the Pniewy Commune, which, by educating high-class specialists, will become an even more attractive place to invest, work and live.
The talks concerned, among others, the future of Polish technical education in the context of the needs of the local environment, but also of the whole country. The mayor of the Pniewy commune, Mr. Jarosław Przewoźny, emphasized that due to the fact that Pniewy education is conducted by the Pniewy Town and Commune Office, the local government may have an impact on the quality of education and although this is a heavy burden on the budget, it is an investment that can be considered in a very distant period. The great advantage of Pniewy is the location of this commune on the edge of three poviats, which means that the Commune has the possibility of influencing not only the Szamotuły Poviat, but also Nowy Tomyśl or Inter-city poviats.
Last year, WObit established cooperation with Siemens, a global company and one of the most reputable suppliers of industrial automation systems. Siemens in Poland is an active partner of the Polish economy, contributing to its modernization and promoting technologies that affect the increase in the standard of living of residents, while ensuring the efficient use of natural resources and reducing environmental pollution. Siemens in Poland operates in many key areas, focusing on electrification, automation and digitization. Represented by a group of companies, it offers customers in Poland the full offer of the Siemens group. As part of cooperation with universities and technical schools, Siemens has a rich program offer. It is addressed to both teaching staff preparing and implementing didactic processes, as well as to pupils, students of schools and technical universities.
In December 2019, there was a delivery to the School Complex Emilia Sczaniecka in Pniewy 6 educational kits based on PLC controllers and SIMATIC HMI panels supplied by Siemens as part of a special educational offer. We are glad that thanks to this initiative the school has gained new opportunities, and students access to professional equipment that will allow the acquisition of knowledge at the highest world level.
As part of its educational activities, Siemens has launched the Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification Program (SMSCP) project - międzynarodowy program potwierdzający umiejętności z zakresu przemysłowych systemów mechatronicznych, prowadzony w oparciu o współpracę z uczelniami na całym świecie, a także Vocational training at Siemens. Są to działania, które w przyszłości mogą znacznie rozszerzyć ofertę edukacyjną Zespołu Szkół w Pniewach. Innym zakresem wsparcia jest oferowanie pakietów oprogramowania w ramach oferty edukacyjnej.
Of course, in addition to Siemens courses, students of the School Complex in Pniewy always have the opportunity to undergo apprenticeships and internships at WObit, as well as benefit from the support of its specialists in the form of lessons dedicated to providing information on modern technological solutions.
The parties as professionally operating entities declared that as part of their mutual cooperation they intend to be guided by the principles of business integrity and generally accepted customs in business trading.
After signing the Cooperation Initiative, representatives of the Pniewy Commune, WObit and Siemens together with the Director of the School Complex Emilia Sczaniecka in Pniewy met with students of technical high school in Pniewy school in the mechatronics workshop. Mr. Mirosław Kuligowski, coordinator for cooperation with education Siemens Poland during a short lecture entitled Engineer of the futureprzedstawił uczniom jakie kompetencje i kierunki rozwoju będą ważne w perspektywie najbliższych lat. Na zakończenie spotkania w laboratorium mechatronicznym w Zespole Szkół im. E. Sczanieckiej w Pniewach Zastępca Burmistrza Gminy Pniewy, Pan Józef Ćwiertnia podziękował przedstawicielom firm WObit i Siemens, a następnie zwrócił się do uczniów klasy 3 w zawodzie technik mechatronik, mówiąc że świat się zmienia, a młodzi mechatronicy będą musieli przystosowywać swoje kompetencje do wymagań jakie stawiać będzie przed nimi rozwijająca się gospodarka. Ludzie w przyszłości będą zmuszeni zmieniać zawody, aby nadążyć za technologią i cywilizacją, a laboratoria jak to pniewskie będą dawały taką szansę.
The signed Cooperation Initiative is an important step in further increasing the competence of the School Complex E. Sczaniecka in Pniewy in the form of expanding the equipment of the Mechatronic Laboratory and raising staff competences. The Pniewy technical college in the profession of mechatronics is still young, but thanks to systematic work on its development from year to year gains new opportunities.
